Carmen R. Cucalon, RDN, LDN
My name is Carmen Rebecca Cucalon and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist. For two-plus years I have been practicing as a Clinical Dietitian at a hospital in Broward County where I’ve gained experience working with a wide range of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disease, cardiovascular disease, stroke, nutrition support and patients undergoing bariatric surgery.
I completed my undergraduate studies in 2016 at Purdue University, Indiana with a dual major in Dietetics and Nutrition, Fitness, and Health. Afterward, I completed my supervised practice (1200 + hrs.) including a community, food service, and clinical rotation at a hospital in South Miami.
My mission is to support and walk with you towards achieving a healthier life and relationship with food. I strive to work with joy and compassion, providing a non-judgmental space for you to express yourself. My goal is that by providing evidence-based medical nutrition therapy, I can also help you achieve your short and long-term nutrition goals. I am passionate about mindful eating, helping others find joy in eating, and seeing how beautiful and perfect they were created. I believe in a diet-free approach where we work on establishing healthy eating habits to achieve long-term results.
